Our Quality Products
The Holbrook family cattle operation utilizes 70,000 acres of leases about 45 miles north of Cave Creek. All our meat is locally processed, dry-aged, and inspected under Arizona Department of Agriculture regulations. When demand for our beef is high, we may purchase steers from neighboring ranches that graze their cattle on similar range utilizing best practices for grass fed beef.
A Family Operation
The Holbrook family cattle operation utilizes over 70,000 acres of Private, Forest, BLM and Arizona State leases. The ranches are located some 45 miles north of Cave Creek off I-17 and Bloody Basin Road. We manage three separate grazing allotments. The east ranch – Horseshoe and Copper Creek allotments are home to our cow calf operation. This ranch is managed with the cooperation of Arizona State Fish & Game Department. Our home ranch is west of I 17 on Bloody Basin Road and is comprised of Antelope Creek allotment and State lease. This allotment borders the historic Cordes ranch, which was founded in 1883.
JH Cattle Company operates the ranches with a cross bred commercial cattle herd. The beef produced is quality 100% grass finished beef. The family has a small register herd of American Dexter Cattle. This herd is being developed to produce smaller bulls to be used on first calf heifers. We have a few animals for sale from time to time.
